Vowels

The following are example of the vowels used in Akwesasne dialec of the Kanienkehaka langauge. The reason why I state it is a separate dialect of the Kanienkehaka language is because the people of Akwesasne have developed there own pronounciation that is slightly different than other territories.

A E I O EN ON

Diacritic Marks

The diacritic marks mentioned here are something one might rarely see on this site. Why simply because it is very time consuming to add each and every mark for each and every word. So in an effort to save some time I have added some marks not all, throughout this website.

Glottal Stop

In this section there is an example on what a glottal stop does within the Kanienkehaka language. Though I remind people, hearing the language from a speaker is the best way to learn the language and understant how it is pronounced.
